This event, organized through a collaborative effort between Arkansas State University Querétaro, Museo de Ciencias Ximhai, and the Biblioteca Infantil BIUAQ of Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, was created as the first science outreach congress in Querétaro focused on science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), and public health.
Held on April 25 and 26, 2026, at the Museo de la Ciudad de Querétaro, the event welcomed participants of all ages, offering free access to a dynamic program designed to make science accessible, engaging, and meaningful for the entire community.
A Space Where Science Comes to Life
STEM Weekend + Salud was designed as an immersive experience where curiosity becomes discovery. Through a combination of hands-on workshops, interactive exhibits, and expert-led talks, participants explored science not as theory, but as something tangible, creative, and impactful.
For children and adolescents, the event featured interactive workshops and guided experiments on topics such as axolotls, microbiology, native bees, ecosystems, eco-photography, and neuroscience, encouraging early interest in scientific thinking through play and exploration.
At the same time, storytelling sessions, book exhibitions, and creative activities provided an accessible entry point for younger audiences, reinforcing the connection between science, literature, and imagination.
